Substance Use Counselor

BayMark Health Services is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized addiction treatment services. We are currently seeking a committed Substance Use Counselor to join our team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will support individuals dealing with opioid use disorder and other substance abuse challenges. The ideal candidate will deliver effective counseling strategies, support medication-assisted treatment plans, and contribute to our mission of restoring patient well-being. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist clients in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Complete client assessments and coordinate with other team members to develop effective treatment plans. Document treatment and follow up care, maintaining comprehensive patient records. Provide clients with case management services and advocate for their access to community resources. Collaborate with medical and mental health staff to facilitate integrated care planning. Educate patients and family members about substance use disorders and the recovery process. Participate in continuous education to improve patient outcomes and personal professional development.
