Pay Range : $23.00 to $31.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Senior Litigation Paralegal contributes by :
Ability to multi-task and effectively communicate, problem-solve and handle tasks efficiently and professionally with all TEAM members and the public, with adaptability to diverse internal and external clientele.Understand and communicate in accordance with applicable State Bar rules related to protecting information and confidentiality while avoiding the unauthorized practice of law.Comply with company policies and procedures.Work in-office as scheduled to meet with clients, collaborate with TEAM members, attend training sessions, and participate in events.Proficient in utilization of technology including case management software, databases, portals, State and Federal e-filing, and other software needed to manage cases.Maintain excellent customer service and interface with clients, providers, and TEAM members according to policies and procedures.Prepare documents including medical summaries, correspondence, discovery, pleadings and administrative forms for attorney approval.Interface with clients on non-legal issues relating to case management; refer legal issues to appropriate attorney(s).Assist attorneys with written and verbal communications with adjusters, defense counsel, court administration, and clients.Effectively communicate with clients to uncover pertinent information and data (e.g., treatment status, medical information, work status) and notify the attorney of changes or concerns per operating procedures.Prepare for legal proceedings; submit necessary information and forms to appropriate organizations; understand forms and procedures to handle cases as instructed by attorneys.Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving to optimize case management; investigate and collect pertinent information when limited data is available.Collaborate with attorneys and TEAM members to handle client cases and identify relevant facts and issues.Gather, process, and organize medical records, bills, pleadings, and other case-related documents; notify attorneys when pertinent information is received.Manage and complete assigned tasks per procedure; process and review mail daily for case information and inform attorneys as needed.Confirm balances and expenses; prepare settlement documents for attorney review.Interface with other TEAM members to help achieve office and departmental goals; may provide backup for client meetings and video conferences.Willingness to train, mentor, and guide less experienced TEAM members when appropriate.Experience
5 plus years of prior litigation experience.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of all aspects of litigation case management, practices, and procedures.Exceptional client advocacy.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative Team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in case management and other relevant software.Utilizes and manages internal and external resources appropriately.Equal Opportunity CR Legal Team is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
