Agency Licensing Specialist
Agency Licensing Specialist is responsible for facilitating the seamless onboarding process for new agencies, ensuring they are properly licensed, compliant with state regulations, and fully integrated into the agency platform, while also providing ongoing support throughout their partnerships. In this position you will also be responsible for identifying potential compliance risks and proactively addressing issues with agencies.
Essential Job Requirements
- Prepare, review, and submit agency and producer licensing applications.
- Track, process, and manage license renewals, amendments, and terminations across multiple states.
- Research and interpret state Department of Insurance requirements to ensure compliance.
- Maintain accurate and current records within licensing databases and internal systems.
- Communicate with regulatory authorities to resolve licensing issues promptly.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and reporting requests by providing timely documentation.
Licensing & Compliance

Serve as the primary contact for agencies and producers regarding licensing status, requirements, and compliance matters.Provide guidance and training to agencies on licensing processes and system navigation.Proactively identify potential compliance risks and partner with agencies to resolve them.Support seamless onboarding of new agencies into company platforms and processes.Operational & Administrative Duties
Perform administrative functions including data entry, scanning, filing, and document management.Respond to inquiries from internal teams (Underwriting, Sales, Customer Service) with accurate licensing information.Assist with special projects and contribute to process improvements within the Licensing Department.Ensure all tasks are completed within established timelines and service standards.Required Skills
Bilingual in Spanish / EnglishExperience in standard underwriting practices and proceduresPrior exposure to insurance underwriting type activitiesPrior exposure to retail sales and / or marketing activitiesAbility to coach, train and motivate employees and evaluate their performanceAbility to remain calm and courteous under pressure and navigate tense situation especially during busy hoursProficiency with technology, especially computers, software application, and phone systemsStrong understanding of company products, policies and servicesStrong verbal communication skills including active listening; uses written communication skills to record inquiry information and policy activity.Strong analytical skills, ability to pay attention to detailsAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practicesStrong interpersonal skillsPositive attitudeAble to work in a fast paced and team-oriented environmentRequired Education
High school graduate, college level courses with an emphasis on business or marketing studies helpfulAssociated classes or courses and / or insurance license, or designation helpfulRequired Experience
3-5 years experience in an insurance office3-5 recent years experience within a call center environmentPhysical Requirements
