Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location : Sioux City, Iowa 51101 Unit : 6SW Post Critical – Cardiac Stepdown Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Electronic Medical Record : Cerner Powerchart Weekly Estimated Pay : $1,880 - $2,020 Same Day Interviews Available! Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or Compact State Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac stepdown or progressive care nursing experience At least 1 completed travel nursing contract Current certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS Proficient in titration of cardiac drips and stepdown patient care Ability to float within the same discipline across local healthcare campuses Must reside more than 50 miles from Sioux City, IA (travel nurse requirement) Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, including those with CHF, post-cardiac angiogram, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, and cardioversion Manage and titrate cardiac drips (Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardiazem, Nifedipine, Heparin, Lidocaine) Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition promptly Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans Accurately document patient care in the Cerner Powerchart EMR system Float to other cardiac or stepdown units as needed Participate in charge nurse or preceptor duties as assigned Apply now to join our healthcare team in Sioux City, Iowa and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
