American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level II Trauma Center operating room position requiring trauma, ortho, and neuro experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in the Operating Room of a Level II Trauma short-term acute care facilityPerforms in a high-acuity surgical environment with ortho, neuro, general / trauma, vascular, endovascular / hybrid, GYN / Uro, ENT / plastics, eyes, and robotics casesHandles 60-70 cases per day with a 1 : 1 RN-to-patient ratioUses DaVinci Robotics (including 5 robots and Xi), Doppler, ultrasound, Neptune, Aquamantis, video systems, lasers, various stapling systems, Hana and Jackson tables, neuro beds with attachments, and cryoablation equipmentEpic EMR system experience requiredDay shifts with four 10-hour shifts per week (11 : 00-21 : 30)On-call required up to four 8-hour shifts monthlyNo floating required within the facilityScrubs provided in the ORPerform high-acuity ortho, neuro, and general surgical procedures in a fast-paced ORParticipate in bi-weekly Monday orientations as part of onboardingRTO considered on a case-by-case basis with no stated limitationsFree parking providedTeam includes experienced staff with strong support for complex casesCandidate may be required to provide two references from the last two years, one of which must be from a supervisorTravelers are provided scrubs for the OR\n \n Requirements\n
Active RN license required (pending accepted with proof of application)Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferredMinimum 2 years of recent Level I / II trauma OR experience, including total joints (ortho), craniotomies (neuro), and experience in additional surgical specialties1 year of Epic EMR experience requiredMust be fully vaccinated for COVID-19Prior permanent or travel employment at this health system requires a separation of at least one yearCandidates must reside at least 60 miles away (no locals accepted)First-time travelers are not acceptedNo more than one DUI conviction permitted\n Benefits\n
