Description

The Painter I will apply proper paint application to office products and office furniture by applying high-quality standards and partnering with other manufacturing cells, to ensure product meets internal and external customer and quality standards.

This full-time position reports directly to the designated Production Supervisor and is located at Safco’s manufacturing plant in Milford, IA.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and operate the powder painting operation.
• Spray powder coated paint following common industry practices.
• Load and unload parts onto the powder paint line when not in the paint booth.
• Measure parts for identification purposes and properly label them with identification tags.
• Operate and maintain paint booth system and observe gauges and equipment operations to detect abnormalities.
• Use inspection / measurement equipment to ensure work meets or exceeds quality standards.
• Enter Work Order data required for labor reporting into the computer system.
• Work in a manner that emphasizes safety of self and others. Follows all safety policies and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of color lab paint samples.
• Troubleshoot issues that may occur within the paint process.
• Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting pay rate for this position is $19.00 per hour (if applicable) plus hourly shift differential pay. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and / or certifications, skills, experience, or work location.  Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses.
