Responsibilities Work in a mixed acuity telemetry unit within a hospital setting Advanced care level patients with need for experience managing advanced care drips Patient population may include those requiring Stepdown / Advanced Care Targeted patient ratios are 1 : 4, but may extend to 1 : 5-6 Night shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 7 : 30 Floating required to all Stepdown / Advanced Care units and locations within 15 miles of the main campus Unit uses a team nursing model involving RNs, LPNs, and PCTs Must work every other weekend and cover holidays No block schedules are offered No local candidates accepted within 50 miles of the facility No more than 7 days of Requested Time Off (RTO) will be approved No holiday RTO is allowed during the contract First to float policy applies to travelers at facility discretion Nurses may rotate between team nursing and primary nursing models as needed Completion of online learning modules required during orientation and annually Medical exemptions for vaccination are not accepted for contract eligibility Travel partners are not accepted for scheduling Requirements Active OH or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of experience in a large hospital, with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to read and interpret EKG / telemetry strips Must obtain or have NIH Stroke Scale certification Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment Willingness to float as needed within assigned facility locations No previous license action accepted Ability to be fitted for N95 or use PAPR as needed Travel experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625582.
