As an Acquisition / Supply Chain Consultant supporting the U.S. Senate in Washington DC and for state offices in all 50 states, you will help ensure seamless, consistent, and white glove service support of the U.S. Senate / Sergeant at Arms ITSC program operations. Our work depends on an Acquisition / Supply Chain Consultant joining our team to ensure our newly awarded program is set up for success during the transition period to the contract go-live date.

Provide valuable insights into the successful acquisition and supply chain operations of previous Senate contracts. Assist in setup and guidance of warehouse operations and management. Share knowledge and lessons learned from experience working in the Senate environment under similar contracts and circumstances.

Education : College Degree with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Experience : At least 7 years of acquisition and supply chain experience supporting the U.S. Senate / Sergeant at Arms including at least 5 years working in a supervisory and / or management capacity. Proven experience leading teams of Analysts, Buyers, Technicians, and warehouse personnel. Operations coordination ensuring that IT equipment is ordered, received, configured, and delivered to installation sites on time and within Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines. Providing solutions and high level customer service by developing a strong understanding of Senate needs through coordination with the Senate Sergeant at Arms (administrating agency of the ITSC). Administering and developing an E-commerce portal of at least 200+ products generating an annual average of 3700 purchase orders. Strategically managing inventory of commonly ordered equipment to expedite operations and mitigate risk of missing SLA targets due to defective items. Worked with the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms to develop a strong understanding of their needs and provide solutions to ensure successful management of their IT operations. Developed and managed direct reports to provide innovative client solutions and maintain an efficient just-in-time supply chain. Established strong client relationships by routinely delivering high quality work output, exceeding client expectations, fulfilling program objectives, and quickly processing ad-hoc requests. Conducted annual performance reviews, develop goals, and determine compensation of direct reports. Cultivated relationships with a wide network of suppliers and stakeholders to provide cost savings and a lean supply chain for client Processed quotes in response to RFQs submitted by client within the required SLA windows. Coordinated with suppliers, schedulers, acquisition team, and installation staff to expedite operations and meet all Service Level Agreement deadlines. Developed ERP database and web dashboard automations resulting in a 50 percent improvement in productivity of provisioning staff and the elimination of data entry errors. Monitored and updated multiple databases with complete and timely information resulting in seamless flow of operations and accurate communication with client. Managed receipt and transfer of inventory from warehouse to Senate Offices (DC and State). Managed Senate Technology Online Catalog on behalf of client.

Security clearance level : Cleared criminal background check

Skills and abilities : Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, appreciation of white glove customer service and successful experience supporting VIP clientele.

GDIT IS YOUR PLACE : The Acquisition / Supply Chain Consultant is a part time / casual position to be engaged with on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee for a specific schedule or number of hours to be worked. Any work performed will be paid on an hourly basis at the rate of $xxxxx per hour (or part thereof). The likely salary range for this position is $28,050 - $37,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
