About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join a leading cardiac care team in Pikeville, Kentucky . The ideal candidate has at least 12 24 months of Cath Lab travel experience , is confident in high-acuity cardiac procedures, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This RN will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care during cardiac catheterizations , angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies

Administer and monitor moderate sedation

Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures, including hemodynamic and EKG monitoring

Circulate, scrub, or monitor as part of the Cath Lab team depending on case needs

Collaborate with physicians, radiologic techs, and cardiovascular techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Prepare and maintain sterile fields and assist with invasive procedures

Respond to emergencies such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest with appropriate interventions

Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements

Requirements :

Active RN license in the state of Kentucky (or compact license)

BLS and ACLS (AHA) Required

Minimum 12 24 months of recent Cath Lab travel experience (Required)

Proficient in circulating and monitoring Cath Lab procedures (scrub experience a plus)

Experience with moderate sedation and emergency response protocols

Ability to adapt quickly in new environments and work effectively with a multidisciplinary team

EP experience Preferred (but not required)
