The primary duties for the Clinical Records Quality Assurance Coordinator are medical records review and quality assurance / utilization review, audit preparation, reporting, recommending remedial training, and serving as a resource for clinical staff around charting, billing, data collection, trend analysis and medical training. The Clinical Records Quality Assurance Coordinator also provides general support for all programs as needed and works within EMS Training Center.
Administers department rules and regulations, protocols, general orders, standard operating policies and procedures.
- Provide detail-focused review of clinical documentation to ensure quality, regulatory compliance and audit-readiness. Maintain all medical records and charts.

- Track all aspects of the process including but not limited to : monthly monitoring, setting up files, coordinating and monitoring dates for quality assurance reviews, and monitoring the thorough completion of all client documentation (e.g., protocol compliance, documentation compliance, signatures, co-signatures, dates, etc.)
- Provide ongoing training and support to clinicians for documentation, charting, and billing procedures and training.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of EMS protocols.
- Assist in utilization review and research programs.
- Ensure EMS Operations are maintaining appropriate standards according to the State of Georgia & CAAS requirements.
- Randomly review patient care reports for review and improvement to align with CES mission, vision and EMS industry standards.
- General administrative support and any additional duties assigned.
