Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
About the Role :
We are seeking a licensed Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual, part-time services for students in Texas. The TVI will work with students across multiple grade levels, supporting their educational access, independent living skills, and academic progress through individualized instruction and collaboration with school teams.
Responsibilities :
Deliver virtual instruction and support tailored to students with visual impairments
Develop and implement IEP goals specific to vision-related learning needs
Conduct assessments and document student progress for IEP meetings
Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, families, and administrators to ensure student access to curriculum
Provide consultation and resources on assistive technology, orientation, and mobility strategies
Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings as required
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education with a TVI endorsement
Active Texas teaching license with TVI endorsement
Experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired, K12 preferred
Strong skills in virtual instruction and using online learning tools
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Reliable internet connection and professional home workspace
What to Expect :

Caseload of K12 students across multiple school sites
Combination of direct instruction, assessments, consultation, and IEP responsibilities
