Job Description :

JYG Innovations is seeking a Cloud Engineer to provide cloud migration, cloud architecture, and sustained operational and modernization support for the Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate (AFSAC) Online (AOL). The position emphasizes migrating legacy applications, such as mainframe and other non-cloud systems, to AWS, Azure, and Cloud One environments while designing and implementing secure, scalable cloud architectures. This role entails full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) adherence across design, development, testing, and sustainment, along with DevOps style infrastructure automation, documentation delivery, operations support, and help desk engagement in alignment with AFSAC governance and configuration management requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Cloud Migration : Lead the migration of non-cloud applications, including legacy and mainframe systems, to secure cloud environments such as AWS and Cloud One, ensuring compatibility, optimization, and compliance with DoD standards.
  • Design Support : Engage with AFSAC stakeholders to analyze sustainment needs, gather functional requirements, document specs, develop project plans, and develop implementation schedules.
  • Development / Sustainment : Sustain applications across on-prem and cloud infrastructures. Adopt component-based architectures using business objects and common components.
  • Testing : Conduct data validation, compliance and security testing, performance, functionality, customer acceptance, unit testing, and document results
  • Consolidation / Migration / Modernization : Support consolidation and modernization of mission systems, including migrations to new architectures or cloud environments
  • Operations Support :

Helpdesk : Serve as technical support contact, track issues and identify ticket priority levels

  • SLA / KPI Support : Ensure SLA adherence and monitor KPIs (e.g., open ticket volume vs. historic averages), and report results
  • Application Administration : Manage applications on-prem and in cloud, including installation, configuration, STIG compliance, responding to TCNOs / NOTAMs, ensuring secure and compliant operations
  • Documentation : Deliver documentation and artifacts including automation requirements, validation / operational testing outputs, data models, training material, test plans, and related documentation

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Candidate must possess a current DoD 8140 IAM Level II certification which includes one of the following :
  • Bachelor's degree in : Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering, OR
  • Certification in : CompTIA Security+ CE, Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate, CySA+, or GSEC
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and lead technical direction, especially in ambiguous or legacy-heavy environments
  • Experience with cloud migrations and technologies (AWS, Azure, Cloud One), including lift-and-shift, refactor, and replatform strategies
  • Hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud application development, using languages such as .NET, C#, Java, PHP, PL / SQL
  • Familiarity with system architecture principles, SDLC, and DevSecOps practices

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Familiarity with Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate (AFSAC) Online (AOL)
  • Experience implementing CI / CD pipelines and automation within development and deployment lifecycles
