Position Summary

Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, the Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting patient care, performing essential direct and indirect activities that ensure a safe and efficient care environment. Your responsibilities will include performing selected interventions and activities to deliver comprehensive care in line with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and procedures. Additionally, you'll work alongside a dedicated care team to foster a positive patient experience.

This role is fast-paced and requires flexibility in scheduling, with the opportunity for career advancement through our clinical ladder based on your experience, skillsets, and certifications.

Qualifications

  • No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided on-site.
  • Successful completion of PCT-specific Hartford HealthCare orientation is necessary.
  • Certified BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) must be obtained within 60 days of hire or job transfer.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Some relevant experience in an acute care hospital environment is preferred.
  • Current certified BLS Provider credential from AHA is preferred.
  • Certification as a CNA, CPCT / A, EMT, or CMA is necessary for eligibility to advance within the PCT clinical ladder and is preferred.
