Travel RN Job Details Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Location : Somerville, New Jersey 08876 (NJ nursing jobs) Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Start Date : October 28, 2025 End Date : January 27, 2026 Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shifts : 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Provided Parking : Free in any unrestricted space Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2100 - $2250 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New Jersey or Compact RN license (required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a U.S. hospital Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) Ability to float to related nursing units as needed Availability to work every third weekend and 2 of the 3 winter holidays Strong clinical skills in triage, high-risk deliveries, c-section recovery, and obstetric patient care Professional references required Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including triage, fetal monitoring, and patient support Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide post-operative care for c-section patients Perform sterile vaginal exams, medication administration, and central line maintenance Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, social services) Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation Ensure a safe, supportive environment for mothers, newborns, and families Comply with hospital policies for scheduling, attendance, and regulatory compliance Float to other nursing units within scope of practice as required Join our healthcare team in Somerville, NJ and take the next step in your Labor & Delivery nursing career.
