Job Description

As a Security Officer - Cultural Patrol Part-Time 21+ in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a renowned cultural location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all visitors and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to promote a secure environment, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and professionalism. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a cultural institution setting.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and along the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and / or unauthorized access.

Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols.

Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor visitor flow, helping to maintain order within the location.

Support Allied Universal management and site leadership by following post orders and participating in site-specific training and drills.

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
