Join ACLD as a Teacher Aide - 1057 in Bay Shore, NY. We offer a $750 Sign On Bonus for Part Time Teacher Aides and a $1250 Sign On Bonus for Full Time Teacher Aides who complete their NYS Teacher Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire.

ACLD is a leading not-for-profit agency providing services to children, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities. We are seeking exceptional individuals to facilitate the lives of the people we support.

The Children's Services of ACLD provides a continuum of services to children from ages three to twenty-one. As a Teacher Aide, you will perform one-on-one non-instructional duties under the supervision of the classroom teacher and program supervisors, assisting assigned students with all classroom-related activities and duties indicated by their Individual Education Plan.

We require :

• High School Diploma preferred
• Minimum of one year experience working with children in a classroom or childcare environment preferred
• Experience working with children with special needs is preferred
• Must have the ability to supervise children in various educational settings
• Must be at least 18 years of age to supervise children independently
• Must be physically able to handle all aspects of supervising preschoolers
