About The Position

Job Title : Sleep Technologist

Must-Have :

Operational knowledge of office equipment in the Sleep Lab.

Familiarity with department-specific equipment, including polysomnography devices.

Proficient in using fax, printer, phone systems, computer, and common software applications.

Strong service orientation and excellent customer service skills.

Strong computer skills, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities.

Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.

Professional interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Description :

Reviews patient histories, medications, and procedures.

Applies electrodes and sensors.

Performs necessary calibrations and gathers data while monitoring.

Documents observations, including sleep stages and clinical events.

Performs PAP titration in accordance with established protocols.

Completes data and removes wires and sensors post-procedure.

Faxes reports to physicians and cleans rooms as required.

Exhibits proper etiquette and mannerisms consistent with organizational standards.

Promotes patient safety standards as a core value.

Scores patient acquisitions following the latest guidelines.

Prepares draft reports for interpretation.

Performs pediatric sleep studies with understanding of applicable procedures.

Communicates with equipment providers to ensure updated resources.

Organizes the sleep schedule for managerial approval.

Participates in departmental meetings and informational sessions.

Reviews policies and procedures annually.

Completes additional duties as assigned.

Maintains a clean and stocked lab environment.
