Logistics & Inventory Control Specialist

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Receive and verify all incoming shipments for correct part numbers, revisions, quantities, HAZMAT documentation, SDS compliance, and potential damage.
- Transact receipts in the ERP system (NetSuite) and route materials to inspection, stockroom, or requestors.
- Coordinate with buyers, engineers, requestors, and quality teams to resolve receiving discrepancies.
- Maintain strict part traceability and documentation in compliance with FAA, aerospace, and internal regulatory standards.
- Prepare, package, and ship parts, hardware, and materials via parcel, LTL, and freight.
- Generate shipping documents, labels, bills of lading, and traceability records within the ERP system.
- Track outbound shipments and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with domestic, international, and HAZMAT shipping standards.
- Store and issue raw materials, parts, and hardware according to established procedures.
- Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and generate ERP-based inventory and availability reports.
- Conduct kitting operations and ensure inventory accuracy through barcode scanning and labeling.
- Organize controlled inventory storage systems, ensuring FIFO and shelf-life rotation compliance.
- Support production and engineering teams with timely material movement to meet schedule demands.
- Publish regular reporting on inventory availability and provide KPI metrics to management.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and related warehouse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inventory storage / receiving environment.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects to optimize inventory accuracy, material flow, and ERP reporting processes.
- Regularly utilize Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and standard office equipment for communication, reporting, and documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations.Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and operate material handling equipment safely.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).Hands-on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).Forklift certification and experience handling sensitive / serialized parts.Knowledge of kitting, stock rotation, barcode scanning / printing, and traceability practices.Experience with international, expedited, and HAZMAT shippingWillingness to work flexible hours as necessary.To comply with U.S. export regulations, such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and the Export Administration Regulations you must (a) be a "U.S. Person" as defined under those regulations, which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., and protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or (b) otherwise be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce, as appropriate.Preferred Skills And Education
Associate degree or coursework in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.3+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or other manufacturing environments.Experience generating KPIs, publishing inventory reports, and supporting ERP-driven process improvements.Familiarity with regulatory requirements for aerospace materials traceability.
