Education

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent

Experience / Qualifications

  • American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers.
  • One-year experience as a rehabilitation services aide and experience in dealing with patients preferred.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, patient focused customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of computer software including word, excel, and patient scheduling systems.
  • Exemplary communication skills, written and verbal must be comfortable speaking to patients via phone and in person and successfully communicate pertinent information.
  • Must be a team player with ability to collaborate interdepartmentally and with clinical staff.
  • Capacity to multi-task with computer programs while providing patients the highest level of care and attention.
  • Ability to self-direct and exercise independent judgment in situations requiring follow-up and discussions with clinical staff and / or other areas to ensure completeness of task and customer satisfaction.
  • Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks to solve problems and enhance the smooth and efficient flow of the department.
  • Position Summary

    The Client Services Representative / Rehab Aide will be responsible for delivering a dynamic customer experience to all customers and demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence. This position is responsible for providing patient care assistance, registration, and scheduling for rehab clients.

  • Preparation of treatment rooms before and after patients are treated
  • Application and assistance with preparing hot packs and cold packs and other modalities as directed by therapists and assistants
  • Provides assistance with patient transfers
  • Maintains supply levels of clinics
  • Monitors and alerts management to broken or unsafe patient equipment
  • Assists therapists and assistants in certain areas of patient care as delegated with ongoing supervision
  • Cleaning and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of facility
  • Keeps clinics in compliance with regular maintenance in compliance with joint commission and environment of care standards
  • Able to apply / remove specific patient braces / splints as directed by therapists or assistants
  • Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive devices used in an outpatient rehab setting
  • Answering the phone, prepare patient files, fax medical records to physician offices
  • Follows up with tracking patient authorizations
  • Assists therapists with plan of care document tracking
  • Scheduling for multiple clinic locations, rescheduling patient appointments, and calling patients to confirm appointments using rehab scheduling computer system
  • Pre-registration of patients in multiple computer systems and discharging patients in multiple computer systems
  • Completes patient registration and processes patient co-payments
  • Assists with Work Que Monitor tracking of documents
  • Knowledge of wellness center procedures including opening and closing of facility, recording, and taking payment for wellness retail items and memberships in gym assist and pro-shop programs, able to schedule wellness services in computer scheduling system

    Physical Requirements

    Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing, and stretching. Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry. Able to work under a stressful environment, work independently, capable of making sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push / pull up to 40lbs., carry and lift up to 20lbs.

    Threshold Requirements

  • These threshold requirements are required and completed yearly basis
  • Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation
  • TB / PPD Surveillance Program
  • Maintenance of required professional licensing and / or certification(s).
