Role Summary :
The Installation Tech II may act as a leader for the installation tech I, work under the Lead Installer, or work independently in the successful transportation, installation, service, and repair of signs, channel letters, monuments, etc. Ensuring the work site is neat and orderly while installing the sign and the site is clean of debris on completion of work at the site. The Installation Tech II requires a higher level of knowledge and skills including site assessments, troubleshooting issues, and interacting with customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Follows the direction of the lead installer in the installation process
- Verifies what is being installed matches the proof pack
- Loading and transporting of signs, tools, and materials to the job site safely
- Prepares the site for installation by removing existing sign, preparing the surface or structure, and securing electrical connections
- Ensuring the correct measurement, placement, connection, and installation of signage
- Mounts and installs signage according to safety protocols and regulatorty codes
- Clearing of all trash, debris, and materials from the job site after installation
- Performs maintenance and repair of existing signs, as needed
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Maintaining all necessary communication with the project manager, including taking and uploading completion photos
- Maintain clean and well-organized company vehicles
- Proper completion of all required paperwork including logs, vechicle inspections, timecards and safety documentation
- Works according to all guidelines, safety, and regulatory codes.
- Performs other duties as assigned
INSTALLER REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or GEDValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordObtaining and maintaining a DOT physicalCDL Class B preferred, but not requiredOSHA 10 / 30 certifications preferred but not requiredKnowledge of basic electrical practicesMust be able to drive a truck with a trailor up to 14,000 lbsThe ability and understanding of the operation of hand and power toolsComfortable working at heights on a ladder, scaffolding, bucket truck, or liftAble to lift moderate to heavy pieces up to 80 pounds.Working in all weather conditionsAbility to work well with others in a team environmentBehaviors are in accordance with Westlund Concepts Mission, Vision, and ValuesElectrical (wiring, LEDs, troubleshooting, NEC knowledge)Compensation : ($58,000 - $70,000) - 40 hr / week Plus overtime (4 day work week, Mon.-Thur.)
