Role Summary
The Sr Analyst, Lease Administration & Accounts Payable supports AES's lease administration processes for the Wind Development team. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of landowner and vendor payments, manages key contract obligations, and serves as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on lease-related financial matters. The Sr Analyst provides subject matter expertise, identifies opportunities for process improvements, and helps maintain strong landowner relationships to enable successful wind project development.
Key Responsibilities
Execute end-to-end lease administration activities, from contract setup through payment processing and compliance tracking.
Manage accounts payable activities tied to wind project land agreements and vendor contracts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with AES standards.
Respond to landowner payment inquiries and resolve issues in collaboration with Finance, Accounting, and Development.
Maintain records of lease obligations, payments, and variances, preparing reports to support audits and leadership visibility.
Identify and recommend process improvements in lease administration and AP workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align lease obligations with project requirements.
Strong time management skills, self-motivated, and capable of operating with minimum supervision
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2-4 years of experience in accounts payable, lease administration, or land management.
Knowledge of contracts, lease structures, and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to collaborate across teams.
Proficiency with ERP and financial systems (SAP experience preferred).
Experience in renewable energy or land-based projects preferred.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $74.000 and $88.825 / Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
