Obstetrician / Gynecologist (OB / GYN)

We are a well-established OB-GYN private practice in a growing south-central Virginia city seeking full-time obstetrician-gynecologist. We are looking for a board certified / board eligible MD or DO to join our team. Our practice currently has three physicians, three midwives, two nurse practitioners and exceptional support staff.

• Required Qualifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility to obtain)
• Active DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances
• Current BLS / ACLS certification (required by many hospitals)
• Hospital privileges or ability to obtain privileges at local hospitals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Responsibilities :
• Deliver full-scope OB / GYN care
• Perform office-based and hospital-based procedures
• Participate in shared call rotation
• Collaborate with support staff to provide patient-centered care
