Job Summary

The Peer Review Coordinator is responsible for assisting CPA firms in the state of Florida with scheduling their peer review. This position will work closely with the technical reviewer in the preparation of the documents that will be presented to the RAB (Report Acceptance Body) twice a month. This position also provides administrative support to the department and the Tallahassee office.

  • This is a hybrid position that requires in-office attendance.

Reports to : Vice President of Professional and Technical Standards

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Works with the AICPA Peer Review Integrated Management Application (PRIMA) program to assist firms with scheduling their peer review. This includes resolving all scheduling errors / problems by corresponding directly with the firm, reviewers, and the administering entity support staff at the AICPA.
  • Performs the Administrative Review to verify that all documents received from reviewers prior to the technical review are processed in-house and meet the AICPA benchmark requirements to allow for timely completion of the technical review.
  • Communicates with peer reviewers and requests revisions to certain documents prior to assigning the review to the technical reviewer.
  • Responsible for working with Adobe PDF files to prepare the documents for two meetings once a month.
  • Close Reviews : Finalize clean acceptance reviews in PRIMA after decisions by the RAB or technical staff.
  • Provides telephone support to firms and reviewers regarding the general requirements of the Peer Review program. Provide member service by assisting with the completion of the complex scheduling requirements in PRIMA, until final completion of the peer review process.
  • This role involves working with special projects and offering administrative support by contributing to detailed tasks under the direction of the Vice President of Professional and Technical Standards.
  • This role includes providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the FICPA Tallahassee office including but not limited to overseeing office inventory, orders, and maintenance requests, and serving as the primary point of contact for administrative matters as needed.
  • Education Requirements :

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent certificate.
  • Two to five years of general office clerical experience.
  • Experience and Competencies :

  • Skilled in handling customer inquiries with professionalism and ease, including phone-based support.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and other computer / web based programs.
  • Proficient with Adobe PDF files (downloading pdf files from a web-based program and combining the files for two RAB meetings once a month. Knowledge of creating pdf forms or editing pdf forms.
  • Knowledge of general clerical practices including filing, proofing, basic grammar, and correspondence formatting.
  • Skills in telephone etiquette, word processing and spreadsheet applications, and data entry and retrieval.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, prioritize work tasks efficiently, work independently, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Essential Physical Skills :

  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic / mobile device functions for data collection, and use a keyboard / computer, printer, fax, copier.
  • Able to receive and act on detailed information through oral and written communication.
  • Must apply finger dexterity, sufficient corrected or uncorrected vision, hearing, oral communication and critical thinking on a regular basis to perform all duties and responsibilities.
  • Requires extended periods of sitting, working on the computer, and using electronic telephone devices.
  • Ability to travel via car.
  • May frequently be required to stand, walk, and occasionally use arms and hands to reach.
  • May also require occasional lifting and carrying of 10-20 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in the primary workplace location to ensure appropriate cooperation and collaboration with coworkers in an in-person capacity to best ensure support to the Association's membership.
