A reputable real estate development firm is seeking a General Counsel to serve as the chief legal advisor to the company, overseeing all legal matters related to real estate development, acquisitions, financing, leasing, construction, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and development agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction contracts, and financing documents.
- Advise executive leadership on legal risks, compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including zoning, land use, environmental regulations, and fair housing laws.
- Oversee corporate governance, entity formation, and maintenance.

Qualifications
