Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location : Charleston, SC

Salary : $65,000 – $85,000 per annum base salary + bonus

About the role

We're seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to join a growing Charleston team. This individual will support the Project Manager and Superintendent in all phases of construction — from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist the Project Manager with daily project coordination, scheduling, and documentation.
• Support subcontractor management, including RFI tracking, submittals, and change orders.
• Help prepare and maintain project budgets, cost reports, and progress updates.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, subcontractor kick-offs, and client updates.
• Collaborate closely with field teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Contribute to project closeout, including punch list management and turnover documentation.
