Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location : Dallas, TX 75243 (Texas healthcare jobs)

Facility Setting : Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : August 19, 2025

End Date : November 18, 2025

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 6 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2000-$2050

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1

EMR System : Meditech

Scrubs : Provided for operating room staff

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, CVOR, or cardiovascular surgery nursing

Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association)

Strong clinical skills in post-operative cardiac patient care

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred : CNOR certification

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in cardiac stepdown and cardiovascular operating room settings

Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, AVR, MVR, aortic replacements, vascular procedures, and heart transplants

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (CSTs, ATs, PCTs)

Document patient care using Meditech EMR system

Participate in on-call rotation (45-minute response time required)

Float to spine operating room as needed

Follow facility protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety
