Summary

We are currently seeking a full time Professional Civil Engineer to support our Commercial Business. The primary responsibility will be design review of RedBuilt shop drawings and joist / truss designs which are prepared for our commercial construction materials business. The Professional Engineer will also be responsible for leadership and to provide training guidance to designers, EITs and a technical sales force. Secondary responsibilities may include development and implementation of design methodologies, code evaluation approvals and implementation of the Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Design review of shop drawings and joist / truss designs.
  • Leadership and training guidance to designers, EITs, and technical sales force.
  • Development and implementation of design methodologies.
  • Code evaluation approvals and implementation of Quality Management System.

Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Experience in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with Engineered Wood Products and general knowledge of wood construction a plus.
  • Computer literate including Excel and Word. Experience with Revit or willingness to learn a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with customers, sales associates, and technical team.
  • Manufacturing and product application knowledge is desirable.
