About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, on-call rotation
Experience : Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
License : State RN License in good standing
Certifications : BLS, ACLS
Must-Have :Description :
The Cath Lab performs many exciting and innovative procedures.
These include Diagnostic Cardiac Cath, PTCA interventions, TAVR, and Left Atrial Appendage Closure.
Also included are MitraClip and peripheral vascular procedures such as Peripheral Angiography and Peripheral PTA.
Staff are responsible for collaborating with physicians and members of the Prep / Recovery and Procedure Lab staff.
The goal is to facilitate excellent patient care.

Educational events provide training with various equipment and procedures.
Responsibilities include :
Evaluating and enhancing nursing practice by utilizing the Nurse Practice Act and Scope and Standards of Practice.
Providing one-on-one patient care to adult patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.
Completing initial assessments upon patient admission and developing appropriate plans of care.
Implementing nursing interventions and modifying plans based on continuous evaluation.
Administering moderate sedation and other medications safely according to policies.
Communicating with others directly and privately to resolve issues.
Offering constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.
Identifying personal learning needs and taking initiative to address them.
Performing hemodynamic monitoring and identifying potential life-threatening arrhythmias.
Collaborating with patients and families to answer questions and provide emotional support.
Enhancing patient care activities and participating in ongoing quality improvement projects.
Coordinating safe care delivery through effective communication with the multi-disciplinary team.
Recognizing and adapting to changes in procedures and responding to emergent situations.
Participating in a collaborative environment while working as part of a cohesive team.
Fulfilling all requirements of departmental competencies.
Administering medications necessary for procedures and managing care during moderate sedation.
Monitoring hemodynamics throughout procedures and providing documentation of procedure events.
Understanding the use of supplies and equipment used in various procedures.
