About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum two years of acute care experience within the last three years.

License : Must hold a nursing license from their permanent address state.

Certifications : BLS and ACLS certified through the American Heart Association only.

Must-Have :

Experience in ICU required.

Telemetry certification and Basic Arrhythmia experience required.

Description :

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to be part of a dynamic critical care collaborative team.

The position involves providing care to various Medical / Surgical critical care patients and Burn patients.

Active participation in the multidisciplinary team and collaboration in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care is essential.

The role is within a newly constructed Critical Care Unit and a verified Burn Center.

The nurse will provide care in a Level One Trauma Center setting.

Floating between units may be required based on staffing needs.

Travelers will typically be the first to float and may have shifts scheduled in multiple units.

This includes working weekends and holidays as needed.

Patient age groups served include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Daily census is approximately 9.87, with a capacity of 11 beds in the unit.

Nurses may be assigned to burn patients, but will not be responsible for performing burn care duties.

Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy.

Strict pass / fail testing with a telemetry exam is required prior to starting the assignment.

Travelers must meet specific passing criteria to ensure competency in arrhythmia recognition.

Competency in telemetry must be renewed regularly.
