Title : CNC Machinist Lead

Shift : 1st shift, 7am-3 : 30pm, occasional overtime

Location : Canfield, OH

Salary : 75k (+ / - depending on experience)

CNC Machinist Lead (Working Supervisor) Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and schedule workflow through the shop using Excel spreadsheets and communicating with the engineering department.
• Ensure job materials are ordered on time.
• Complete tooling and consumables inventory regularly.
• Order special tooling for jobs and communicate with machinists about their needs.
• Manage employees, including conducting annual reviews and monitoring job performance.
• Delegate tasks to the field service crew to maintain workflow.
• Work with management and engineering to set scheduling, completion dates, and lead times.
• Purchase tooling and equipment as required.
• Communicate with the front office regarding job completions and ensure products are ready to ship.
• Organize the shop for optimal use and efficiency.
• Ensure safety procedures are up to date and that everyone is working safely.
• Run, program and Setup CNC Milling equipment (Haas / Fanuc Controls)
• Read blueprints and check the accuracy of work; inspect parts
• Supervise machine temperatures and ensure that the machine has an adequate warm-up and cool-down time between jobs.
• Read mics, calipers, OD's, tool presetting / comparators, dial bore gauges, make proper tooling offsets in the machine tool, and set proper speeds and feeds
• Program editing and understand read blueprints
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain orderly work areas
