Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class guest service : greet guests, respond to questions / needs quickly and courteously, inform guests of promotions, and promote loyalty programs; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks.
- Support store operations and the shopping environment, including visual merchandising, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business.
- Process guest purchases / returns accurately using the POS system; ensure proper bagging, receipts, and high-quality guest service.
- Address guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
- Promote GameStop guest benefits (e.g., reservations, trade-ins, Pro Rewards).
- Assist the Store Manager with training and setting guest service expectations; supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager's absence.
- Provide timely feedback to Store Manager; ensure onboarding and compliance training are completed prior to shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, and safety.
- Assist in scheduling and supervising staffing to ensure optimal guest service; monitor breaks and meals as required.
- Approve payroll adjustments and ensure accurate timekeeping and payments.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment function properly.
- Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily; participate in inventory control and loss prevention practices; handle bank deposits as required.
- Support achievement of sales, profit, and shrink goals; perform administrative duties and inventory counts; ensure accurate closeout and banking procedures.
- Assist in stock management : restock shelves, organize products, and ensure products are represented and alphabetized on the sales floor.
- Ensure safety for associates and guests; report injuries per guidelines; maintain organized store records / files.
- Maintain adherence to policies and procedures; follow opening / closing procedures.
Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States; at least 18 years old.High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.Retail management experience preferred (minimum 6 months); retail sales / guest service / management experience preferred (2+ years).Video game knowledge preferred.Key Skills & Abilities
Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills; provide genuine guest service.Clear verbal and written communication; ability to communicate in English; bilingual English / Spanish preferred.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment; work independently and in a team; meet performance expectations.Operate POS system; basic math and alphabetizing skills; complete required paperwork.Flexible schedule (including nights / weekends / holidays); minimum 3 days / week availability.Resilience under pressure; reliability and good judgment; ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs as needed.Compensation & Benefits
Compensation : $14.75 - $18.75 per hour. Full-time positions eligible for incentive programs, 401(k), paid time off, dental, vision, and health insurance. Bonus potential and other incentives may apply.
