Purpose :

This position will involve direct interaction with personnel at all levels of the organization. This position will work on a wide variety of legal matters across corporate, litigation, real estate, and operational functions, providing support to all members of the legal team. The Company seeks to hire an energetic, multi-tasking professional who is passionate about the practice of law and can manage broad legal generalist functions.

Reports to : Senior Counsel

Compensation Range : $100,000 - $135,000

Position is hybrid with 3 days in office.

Principal Job Duties :

  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial and operational agreements, including vendor agreements, cell tower and billboard leases, confidentiality agreements, licenses and easements
  • Assist with disputes and litigation including :
  • Performing initial analysis on claims, including researching state law
  • Assisting with and handling small claims matters
  • Assisting with discovery
  • Reviewing litigation pleadings
  • Assist with advice and counsel regarding privacy laws, including :
  • Understanding the requirements of new privacy laws that come into effect
  • Establishing and reviewing, and collaborating cross-functionally on privacy compliance processes
  • Provide legal support to operations team in connection with day-to-day matters, including lien law requirements
  • Assist with real estate financing and acquisition transactions
  • Assist with securities filings
  • Other responsibilities as assigned from time to time

Qualifications / Requirements :

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, drafting and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s Degree and J.D. from an ABA accredited school and licensed to practice law in one or more states
  • 2+ years of pertinent experience
  • The ability to confidently and effectively interact with colleagues and adversaries and to translate difficult legal principles into practical business solutions
  • Quick learner with a high degree of common sense and resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highest levels of integrity, discretion and maturity.
