Job Title : Equipment Technician 3

Position Status : This is a permanent position. In addition to base salary, employees may be entitled to other forms of compensation depending on the type, duties, or location of the position. About this position :
The Equipment Operator 3 is responsible for the complete maintenance, inspection, and repair of the Washington State Parks fleet of vehicles and grounds equipment. It is essential that Parks staff have reliable, functional vehicles and equipment to help them complete the organization\'s mission to keep parks safe and enjoyable for the public to use.
This position is not eligible to telework, as physical in-office presence is required to perform essential functions.

Working Conditions
Position works four (4) days a week, 10 hours a day. Core working hours are typically 6 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m., Monday - Thursday. Work schedule and hours may be flexible to meet business needs. Work tasks vary, which require working with and interacting with park staff, private contractors, and the public. Work is performed inside of a heavy equipment repair shops environment and in field in all weather conditions and will require running, crawling, squatting, lying on back, climbing ladders, reaching above head, pushing and pulling, turning and twisting sitting up for one hour without breaks, uneven surfaces, using fine motor skills, hand and eye coordination operating equipment up to 8 hours / day, performing duties / standing for 45-minutes, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., operating small combustible engines, driving motorized vehicles up to two hours without a break, working in confined spaces, heights to 25 feet above ground level, and working around loud noises within safety limits. Occasional travel is required for annual training / maintenance conference.
