Position Summary

As an Attorney on our Green Card Services team, you will be part of a team of Attorneys and Case Managers helping global clients navigate the US immigration system. You will work on immigration matters including I-140 Immigrant petitions, I-485 Adjustment of Status applications, and Immigrant Visa Processing applications. You will have the opportunity to help companies, their international employees, and our individual High-Skilled Immigration (HSI) clients achieve their professional goals – it's rewarding work.

This position can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or based in our Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI office as an in-person or hybrid role. Please note that although this role can be remote, all work must be performed within the United States.

What you'll do

• Under the direction of the practice team Director, work with employers, their international employees, and HSI clients to develop and implement legal strategies for a variety of immigration matters
• Conduct in-depth conversations with clients to explain visa application processes and gather detailed supporting information and evidence
• Answer client questions about application process steps, timelines, and costs
• Prepare and file green card related applications with the appropriate government offices, in collaboration with fellow Attorneys and Case Managers (paralegals)
• Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence issued by government agencies
• Research legal issues related to employment-based green card applications and stay informed on the latest immigration law developments
• Correspond with other Attorneys and Case Managers within the firm to assist clients with needs that transcend practice groups
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
