Position Overview
TEI Construction Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled JM Ironworker to join our team working on Covanta projects. As a JM Ironworker, you will be responsible for the installation and fabrication of structural steel and metal components in various construction environments, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout of structures and metal fittings.
- Assist in the erecting and dismantling of scaffolding, shoring, and brackets for site safety and support.
- Fabricate and install structural steel frameworks, including beams, columns, and girders.
- Anchor steel members in position for securing by bolting, welding, or riveting.
- Ensure that all work performed is in compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Inspect the work sites to ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications.
- Utilize various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Complete required documentation to report on work completed and materials used.
