Job Title : Pharmacy Technician II
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with the practice of pharmacy in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and corporate policies by accurately interpreting prescription orders and entering them into the core pharmacy system.
- Notify physicians of incomplete or incorrect prescription information and perform physician outreach within the legal limits of pharmacy technician authority.
- Obtain accurate verbal orders for product replacement and missing prescription information from healthcare providers.
- Manage patient adherence processes and schedule medication deliveries according to Pharmacy Solutions guidelines.
- Assist patients with treatment compliance by updating current medications, allergies, and medical conditions, and triaging calls to Nursing and / or Pharmacists when necessary.
- Use internal and web tools to communicate with health insurance payors and providers to investigate benefits and verify prescription coverage.
- Identify and recommend process / system improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity of pharmacy operations.
- Interact professionally with internal and external teams to ensure accurate service provision to patients.
- Collaborate with personnel to support changing business priorities and execute tasks to support patients, products, or services provided by Pharmacy Solutions.
- Check pharmacist voicemails and perform additional responsibilities as deemed necessary.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00 / hr.

This is a fully onsite position in North Chicago,IL.
