Systems Test Engineer

Overview

BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Test Engineer in Fort Wayne for our Integrated Communications Solutions business. The candidate will work on VHF / UHF SATCOM Tactical Radio (TR) equipment to support the Army and USAF, with responsibilities spanning Architecture, Specification, Development and Analysis of mission critical equipment. Some aspects of this work are classified. This role involves a wide range of Systems Engineering activities, including hardware and software integration on a tactical airborne subsystem, creating requirements, assisting with product integration or testing, reviewing LabVIEW code to resolve issues, creating deliverable documentation, and preparing estimates or technical content for multi-million-dollar proposals. There are subject matter experts available to assist when needed to grow your expertise.

The role requires in-person, on-site work at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time due to the nature of the position.

Responsibilities

• Developing and working with existing test architectures utilizing LabVIEW & TestStand
• Design hardware interface test adaptors (ITA)
• Perform integration, verification, and validation of Airborne Tactical Radios
• Support product testing locally and at supplier locations
• Support on-site customer integration at various military bases
• Develop product specifications and design documentation using DOORS
• Follow, modify, and create test procedures
• Create qualification test plans, procedures, and reports

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range : $63,662 - $108,225

Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
