Tabor Hills Senior Living Campus, a not-for-profit community located in Naperville, IL, has been dedicated to caring for our senior population for over 125 years. Tabor Hills Senior Living offers an Independent Living Community, Supportive Living Community, Senior Day Services and a Healthcare Facility (skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation, respiratory therapy.)

Listed below is an outline of the major duties and responsibilities that you will be required to perform.

  • Check residents regularly; Answer call lights promptly; Follow through with resident problems or needs by delivering care or reporting to unit nurses.
  • Maintain knowledge of the resident's condition at all times; Identify emergency situations and respond with appropriate measures.
  • Treat residents with dignity; Explain procedures to residents before administering care.
  • Follow established infection precautions, adhere to Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions. Follow infection control policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain good public relations with residents, families and other guests.
  • Observe safety needs of residents.
  • Assist residents with physical needs, meals, personal care, including nails, hair, facial hair, oral hygiene and dressing.
  • Follow policies and procedures related to body mechanics, transfer, use of mechanical lifts, body positioning, and mobility.
  • Perform other work assignments as may be required.
  • Qualifications

    1. EDUCATION : Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant and Competency Evaluation Program. Good standing in the state registry is required. Possess current CPR Certification.

    2. EXPERIENCE : Preferred.

    3. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Lifting 75 TO 100 pounds by self with frequent Lifting and / or carrying of objects. Exerting considerable force frequently and / or intermediate force constantly to move objects and residents. Reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and visual near acuity.

    4. TRAVEL : N / A

    5. WORKING CONDITIONS : Considerable exposure to disagreeable conditions, including odors, infection, and illness.

    6. PRINCIPAL CONTACTS : Works with elderly residents, families, and other health care members.

    7. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS : Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, including, but not limited to :

  • Works in a safety conscious manner, which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to others in the workplace.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
  • Interacts in a tactful diplomatic and humanistic manner with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient and therapeutically effective caring environment which insures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights and physical safety of each resident and facility guest.
  • Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code.
