Job Purpose
Instructs and facilitates a meaningful and effective learning experience of the course competencies in the classroom, fieldwork, and laboratory settings. Position is subject to all terms and provisions of the NTU faculty contract. This position requires knowledge and competence in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, and 3D printing as well as teaching experience.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Selects and prepares course outlines and instructional materials. Selects and orders course books and materials.
- Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourages student success.
- Prepares lesson plans with varied instructional techniques, multimedia, integration strategies to meet the educational, multisocial and emotional needs of students.
- Instructs students in the field of study.
- Takes and submits attendance reports; maintains files on advisees; refers students to university services when appropriate.
- Sets up and supervises work of students in shop or laboratory.
- Designs tests and evaluates student achievement; provides feedback on work and assignments.
- Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies; supervises safety and compliance.
- Participates in program reviews and accreditation activities; assists in recruitment and retention efforts.
- Conducts research in field of study; identifies grant opportunities and submits proposals.
- Holds regular office hours and assists students in obtaining internships; collaborates with colleagues.
- Attends faculty and committee meetings and maintains confidentiality of privileged information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Ph.D. degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical EngineeringTwo years of teaching experience in the field of studyMaintains educational competencies in area of instructionProfessional excellence, community service and / or publicationValid and clean state driver's licenseAbility to pass a background check with no felonies or history of child abuse / neglectPreferred Qualifications / Requirements
