MACHINE OPERATOR

GRITLINE

Monday – Friday

1 : 45 pm – 10 : 15 pm, mandatory overtime as needed

$18.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Position requires quality oriented, safety minded and service-oriented individuals.
  • Preparation of Gritline equipment for daily operations.
  • The gritline operators prepare grit mixes, sealers, and correct grit types and amounts into batches and then proceeds with the proper gritting cycles.
  • Make minor adjustments to equipment, and / or cycle to obtain a quality product.
  • The gritline operator ensures that all that all the products meet quality standards.
  • This position must learn and understand company’s mixes and material identification.
  • Housekeeping in and around equipment, buildings on a daily basis and wherever it is required.
  • Position requires learning all SOP’s pertaining to this area for individual files.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to use basic math skills such as add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.
  • Ability to count, measure, and weigh materials accurately.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling.
  • Must be able to pass math test.
  • Ability to use measuring tapes and other recording instruments is required.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain internal forklift qualifications and CCT qualified when chosen.
  • Ability to regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds.
