Job Title : Systems Engineer - DoD Ground Vehicle C5ISR

Provide technical services and project leadership for the successful integration and fielding of a common operating picture (COP) system and other C5ISR systems, working as part of a DoD vehicle platform project management (PM) team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide technical and programmatic support to a project management office overseeing multi-disciplinary projects for tactical ground vehicles.
  • Lead the development and fielding of a GCCS-J based Joint Common Operational Picture (JCOP) system, including leading the Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Assist functional leads in logistics, fielding, testing, training, cyber, etc., to support the JCOP effort.
  • Work with user community to understand needs and translate into technical requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members and partners.
  • Coordinate with various program office functional areas and external organizations.
  • Author program documents such as SOWs, MOAs, and similar.
  • Oversee execution of project facets according to established agreements.
  • Participate in design reviews and documentation reviews to ensure system integration meets requirements.
  • Interface with the customer regularly.
  • Prepare and present briefings to program leadership.
  • Contribute to program documentation and reports.
  • Participate in team and program meetings.
  • Support client and contract deliverables as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain / maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or electrical engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with DoD ground vehicle C5ISR systems, system architectures, and related systems like GCCS-J, Link 16, BFT, JBCP.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

  • Experience with HMS radio, GPS systems, satcom, and related systems.
  • Experience as a Joint Interface Control Officer or similar roles.
  • Knowledge of joint interoperability certification, DoD networks, risk management, and systems engineering processes.
  • Experience supporting DoD programs and logistics support.
