Global Safety & Security Analyst

The Global Safety & Security Analyst is responsible for the continuous monitoring, analysis, and communication of security threats and risks across HIAS' global footprint. This role supports all aspects of the Global Safety & Security (GSS) department, ranging from information gathering and incident management to policy development, training, and crisis response planning, with a core focus on protecting staff and facilitating humanitarian operations.

This position is based at our headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland but candidates may be considered in the HIAS office in New York, New York.

The salary range for this position is $65,000-80,000.00.

Essential Functions

Global Threat Intelligence & Risk Analysis

• Closely monitor and analyze national and international security issues, geopolitical trends, and potential threats that might impact HIAS' regional operations.
• Collect, analyze, and summarize intelligence data and trends across Global, U.S., NGO / nonprofit and corporate environments to produce specialized reports.
• Conduct ongoing analysis and assessments of threats and risks, including initial remote security assessments for new projects and Security Risk Assessments for off-site locations and headquarters properties.
• Maintain a Monthly Security Briefing for senior staff and provide ad hoc analysis to country office and US Programs leadership as needed.
