Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide services at a facility in Johnson, Kentucky. The psychiatrist will offer comprehensive psychiatric care to students in the vocational training center. The ideal candidate will possess an active Kentucky license, be board certified / board eligible with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities :

Offer psychiatric consultations, evaluations, medication management, and on-call support to the Center's students.

Diagnose and treat mental health conditions of students within a clinical environment.

Offer recommendations for medication, laboratory tests, hospital admissions, and referrals as needed.

Offer telephone support and guidance to the Center's nursing and psychological staff for handling emergencies, minor illnesses / incidents.

Deliver treatment to individuals at the facility, including those who may already be receiving psychiatric services or medication.

Assess individuals and continue their treatment, therapy, or medication as required to support their ongoing participation in the Center s program.

Administer and manage psychiatric medication for individuals as medically necessary.

Perform all other duties as assigned by the Center's administration.
