Responsibilities Work in a Neuro ICU within a large hospital environment Treats patients with diagnoses such as stroke, neurosurgery, complex spine, and neuro-specific complications Hands-on with procedures including EVDs and therapeutic thermoregulation Night shifts available : 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules (18 : 45-07 : 15), 4x12 by request Epic EMR is used and required Assignment length is 13 weeks, with extension up to 52 weeks available upon request RNs must work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays during winter (Thanksgiving, Christmas / Christmas Eve, New Year's) Christmas RTO (time off) cannot be approved Orientation includes up to 5 hours for modules and 2 hours for Epic training Modules may be completed before start or during orientation Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted, except for specific cases with assignment restrictions Previous employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as travelers Travelers may not return after completing 365 days of assignment at this facility Requirements Active VA or compact state RN license required Two professional references required for consideration Prior neuro ICU nursing experience required Experience with large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma facilities required Epic EMR experience required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627082.
