The HR & Safety Coordinator supports both Human Resources and Safety functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This dual-role position promotes a positive workplace culture, ensures compliance with employment and safety regulations, and helps maintain effective HR and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Safety
- Maintain and update workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Lead safety training sessions and maintain documentation.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage safety documentation (e.g., SDS, OSHA 300 logs) and facilitate safety committee meetings.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through communication and engagement.
Human Resources
Support recruitment, onboarding, and new-hire orientation.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.Assist with employee relations, engagement initiatives, and recognition programs.Provide support on policies, benefits, and procedures.Track attendance and assist with FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs.Coordinate performance reviews and disciplinary processes.Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift up to 15 lbs as needed.Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Occupational Safety, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in HR and / or safety coordination, preferably in manufacturing.Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
