Building Construction Technology Program Support
An employee in this position provides support for the Building Construction Technology Program. This employee will report to the program chair to ensure the efficient operation of lab classes. This support may include but is not limited to organizing materials and equipment, keeping track on inventory, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the lab.
$15.00 HOURLY
- Operates and repairs construction equipment
- Sign out tools and equipment to instructors and students
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies and inform the Department Chairs of needs
- Utilizes drawings, specifications, and diagrams
- Assists instructors with lab assignments
- Maintains clean and organized lab
- Operates a calculator to calculate mathematical test results
- Communicates effectively with client and project teams
- Must be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS :
One (1) year building construction experience preferredEffective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills are requiredExternal (or task related) certifications based on region and state may be requiredBasic math, calculator, and computer skillsAbility to read and understand work plansMust be able to work off shift and overtime as neededPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistanceAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to make the discriminations in soundAbility to kneel and squat occasionallyAbility to walk and stand for long periodsAbility to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperaturesAbility to climb occasionally and work at various heightsEqual Opportunity Employer :
