Sr Salesforce Architect Description

The Senior Salesforce Architect will lead the development and optimization of the USAFA Salesforce ecosystem, with a focus on leveraging Education Data Architecture (EDA) to meet key functional and security requirements. In this role, the architect will oversee the design and implementation of custom objects, workflows, APIs, and integrations, while ensuring seamless integration with the DoD's Common Nomination Portal and other relevant systems.

As a team lead, the architect will guide a development team in applying best practices, driving innovation, and ensuring scalable, user-friendly solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Salesforce development, including proficiency with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, and possess a deep understanding of the EDA. Leadership in software development and prior experience in government contracts or working with government entities is highly desirable.

Sr Salesforce Architect Responsibilities

• Designs software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development Schedules for customers.
• Codes software components, units, and modules that meet product specification and development Schedules for customers.
• Adheres to product build and release schedules and strategies.
• Tests and debugs complex software components and units.
• Acts as a technical resource for lower-level developers and may be assigned lead developer role for small-to-medium sized projects.
• Conduct comprehensive data assessment and mapping.
• Perform data cleansing to ensure high data quality.
• Execute data migration using automated tools.
• Validate and test migrated data to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with the development team to address data-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Proven leadership experience in software development
• Government contract experience or experience working with government entities (preferred)
