Health Information Management Director

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health Information Management (HIM) Director to oversee the daily operations and workflow of facility-based HIM services. Reporting to the Regional HIM Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing HIM Service Center activities, implementing operational strategies, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of HIM, including record retrieval, release of information processing, and reconciliation tasks.
• Assist in the implementation and oversight of HIM Service Center processes, including productivity monitoring and staff education.
• Actively participate in managing unbilled accounts and resolving related issues.
• Oversee the use of Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) / McKesson Patient Folder (MPF) and HIM Shared Services, ensuring effective workflow and compliance.
• Lead facility communication efforts with medical staff and departmental leadership for seamless project execution and operational activities.
• Manage facility-specific 360 Encompass Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) implementation and ongoing support post-launch.
• Perform unbilled management tasks, including physician query follow-up and monitoring of unbilled reports.
