Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift role in California requiring a current CA RN license and at least two years of ER experience.

Responsibilities

  • Emergency Department (ER) setting within a hospital environment
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Weekend rotation is required
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • No on-call requirement
  • Patient care for a range of emergency cases
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to ER patients using assessment, planning, and implementation
  • Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary staff, and allied support services
  • Modules must be completed during orientation, averaging 1-5 hours
  • A maximum of one holiday off will be approved for each assignment
  • Return travelers must have a gap of at least one year before reapplying
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility

    • Requirements

  • Active CA RN license in hand
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • At least 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
  • Experience with Epic charting system preferred
  • Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Must provide two recent supervisor references
