RN - Roosevelt County Detention Center

Ro Health is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Portales!\n\nThis position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility.\n\nSchedule : 3 shifts per week (Wed-Friday : Day Shift) or (Thu-Sat : Night Shift)\n\nBoth schedules are open to either RN or LVN!\n\nDetails : \n

• Location : Portales, NM\n
• Schedule : at least 3 days / week, 12-hour shifts\n
• Must be available on weekends\n
• Employment Type : Contract\n
• Pay : higher pay for travelers who are 50 or more miles away from the facility!\n\nQualifications : \n
• Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license (in good standing) or compact license\n
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association\n
• Ability to pass a strict background check\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n
• Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments\n
• Monitor and document patients' health status and respond to medical emergencies\n
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans\n
• Educate patients on health conditions, medication adherence, and preventive care\n
• Assist with wound care, IV therapy, and chronic disease management\n
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards\n
• Supervise and support LVNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff\n
